M4A1-S | Nitro released November 27, 2013 as part of the Safehouse Collection.

It originally released during the CS:GO era, before Valve's Counter-Strike 2 relaunch in September 2023 — its artwork, wear range, and source carried over unchanged into CS2.

It launched as a Restricted-tier finish, with a Souvenir edition but no StatTrak™ version.

As a finish, "Nitro" is applied to the M4A1-S — the Counter-Terrorists' suppressed carbine, trading magazine size for reduced recoil and a quieter shot — and carries the purple rarity color every Restricted-tier skin shares on the Steam Market and in-game.

That Restricted classification places it in the middle of the rarity ladder — rarer than Mil-Spec Grade, but short of the Classified and Covert tiers above it.

M4A1-S | Nitro ships in all five wear conditions, but its float is capped between 0.06 and 0.80 — narrower than the full 0.00–1.00 range some other skins allow.
