FAMAS | Teardown released November 27, 2013 as part of the Safehouse Collection.

It originally released during the CS:GO era, before Valve's Counter-Strike 2 relaunch in September 2023 — its artwork, wear range, and source carried over unchanged into CS2.

It launched as a Mil-Spec Grade finish, with a Souvenir edition but no StatTrak™ version.

As a finish, "Teardown" is applied to the FAMAS — the Terrorists' burst-capable rifle, cheaper than the AK-47 with a fast rate of fire in burst mode — and carries the blue rarity color every Mil-Spec Grade skin shares on the Steam Market and in-game.

That Mil-Spec Grade classification places it at the base of the tiers a Case can drop — the most common outcome of opening the Case(s) it comes from.
