Negev | Ultralight released August 6, 2020 as part of the Fracture Case.

It originally released during the CS:GO era, before Valve's Counter-Strike 2 relaunch in September 2023 — its artwork, wear range, and source carried over unchanged into CS2.

It launched as a Mil-Spec Grade finish, with both a StatTrak™ and a Souvenir edition.

As a finish, "Ultralight" is applied to the Negev — the game's heaviest machine gun, with a huge magazine and a spin-up period before it reaches full accuracy — and carries the blue rarity color every Mil-Spec Grade skin shares on the Steam Market and in-game.
