M4A4 | In Living Color released May 3, 2021 as part of the Snakebite Case.

It originally released during the CS:GO era, before Valve's Counter-Strike 2 relaunch in September 2023 — its artwork, wear range, and source carried over unchanged into CS2.

It launched as a Covert-tier finish, with both a StatTrak™ and a Souvenir edition.

As a finish, "In Living Color" is applied to the M4A4 — the Counter-Terrorists' standard assault rifle, with a larger magazine than the M4A1-S — and carries the red rarity color every Covert-tier skin shares on the Steam Market and in-game.
