AWP | Chrome Cannon

AWP | Chrome Cannon released February 6, 2024 as part of the Kilowatt Case.

It's a Counter-Strike 2-native release, launched after Valve's September 2023 relaunch, with no CS:GO history of its own.

It launched as a Covert-tier finish, with both a StatTrak™ and a Souvenir edition.

As a finish, "Chrome Cannon" is applied to the AWP — Counter-Strike's signature bolt-action sniper rifle, capable of a one-shot kill to the chest or head in most engagements — and carries the red rarity color every Covert-tier skin shares on the Steam Market and in-game.

That Covert classification places it among the rarest tier a regular CS2 skin can reach — only Extraordinary knife and glove finishes rank above it.

AWP | Chrome Cannon ships in all five wear conditions, from Factory New through Battle-Scarred, across the full 0.00–1.00 float range.

As with every CS2 skin, lower float values look cleaner: Factory New copies (roughly below 0.07 float) show the finish at its sharpest, while Field-Tested and Well-Worn pieces make up the most commonly traded middle ground between mint and heavily worn.

AWP | Chrome Cannon comes from the Kilowatt Case — it's part of a Case currently cycling through CS2's weekly Prime drop pool, so it's obtainable through free drops as well as opening the Case.

Valve's own published Case odds put a Covert-tier pull like this one at roughly 1 in 313 (0.3200%).

There's both a StatTrak™ and a Souvenir edition of this finish, alongside the Normal version — three ways to own the same look, differing only in that badge.

Beyond that, there's no separate "phase" or pattern family tied to this finish in the site's data — it's tracked as a single fixed look across every wear condition it ships in.

Covert-tier pulls like this one are inherently the rarest outcome of opening the Cases that contain them, which alone keeps demand — and market prices — meaningfully higher than the tiers below it.

Its StatTrak™ and Souvenir editions tend to trade at a premium over the Normal version, the same pattern seen across most CS2 skins with that variant available.

AWP | Chrome Cannon has been part of the Kilowatt Case since February 6, 2024 — a Counter-Strike 2-native release with no CS:GO-era version to compare it to.

It's one of 2 Covert-tier items in the Kilowatt Case, out of 17 items total.

This is one of 52 AWP skins currently listed on the site, spanning multiple rarity tiers.
