Legacy won 2-0

A close series on the scoreboard — Ancient 13-10, Dust2 13-11 — with latto getting an ace along the way. Legacy advance to face the Falcons/Lynn Vision winner in the Group B upper-bracket semifinal.

Legacy and FUT open Group B's third match at BLAST Open Porto 2026 four days after both walked off the biggest stage of their careers — FUT as Esports World Cup 2026 runners-up, Legacy with the bronze medal.

It's also a rematch: FUT beat this Legacy roster once already in January, though both sides have changed a piece or two since.

Straight From the Biggest Stage Either Team Has Played

FUT went all the way to the Esports World Cup 2026 grand final, beating magic, MOUZ and FURIA along the way before losing 1-3 to Spirit. Legacy's run was nearly as deep — sweeping NAVI in the Round of 16, upsetting reigning Major champions Falcons in the quarterfinal, then losing to Spirit in the semifinal before beating FURIA for third place. Both campaigns ended on August 23. This match is August 27. Neither team has had more than four days to recover from the deepest, most physically and mentally demanding run of either roster's year — a real variable heading into a Bo3 against a team that just watched the same tournament unfold from the other bracket.

Two Rankings, Two Different Answers to "Who's Ahead"

Before the Esports World Cup, HLTV's World Ranking had Legacy two spots above FUT, #12 to #14. Valve's points-based ranking, updated after both teams' EWC runs, now has it the other way — FUT at #3, Legacy at #6 — reflecting FUT's grand-final run outscoring Legacy's bronze-medal finish. Both figures are real, current, and drawn from different systems measuring different things; neither should be read as the final word on which team is actually better right now.

FUT Won Last Time — But Not Against Quite This Legacy

FUT eliminated this Legacy organization at IEM Kraków back in January, and four of FUT's five players from that match — dziugss, cmtry, dem0n and Krabeni — are still on the roster, with only xfl0ud (signed from HEROIC in July) replacing lauNX since. Legacy have changed more: arT took over as IGL in February, and try joined in July, meaning only three of the five who lost that January match remain. It's a rematch, but not a clean one — Legacy arrive as a genuinely different team than the one FUT beat last time.

A Falcons Rematch Could Be Waiting Either Way

Falcons — the team Legacy just eliminated 2-0 at the Esports World Cup — are also in Group B, opening their own tournament against Lynn Vision. If Legacy win here and Falcons win their own opener, BLAST's bracket structure sets up a third meeting between Legacy and Falcons later in the group, extending a rivalry that's already gone Legacy's way twice this year.
