GamerLegion vs. MOUZ at EWC 2026:PR's First Match Against His Old Team
Five weeks ago, PR left GamerLegion to rejoin MOUZ. Now he faces his former team for the first time — in a Round of 16 that finds both sides heading in very different directions.

GamerLegion and MOUZ meet in the Round of 16 at the Esports World Cup 2026 on August 19. For one player on the server, it's a reunion with the team he was playing for five weeks ago.
Oldřich "PR" Nový returned to MOUZ on July 14. This is the first time he faces GamerLegion since.

PR's Return, and Now a Reunion
PR came up through MOUZ's academy team before joining GamerLegion in January 2025, where he spent over a year and a half developing into a top prospect — attending both the Budapest and Cologne Majors along the way. MOUZ brought him back on July 14 as part of a wider roster overhaul; GamerLegion filled the vacancy three days later by re-signing FL4MUS.
On the move itself, PR was warm about his time at GamerLegion but clear about where he felt he belonged: "My time with GamerLegion was amazing for my personal and professional growth, and I am thankful for the experience I gained there, but MOUZ has always felt like home to me."
The early signs backed that up. MOUZ won on PR's debut, and three weeks later beat Spirit 3-1 in the BLAST Bounty Season 2 grand final — their first trophy in 17 months, with Spinx earning his first career MVP award along the way.
Two Different Directions
MOUZ spent part of 2026 as arguably the second-best team in the world behind Vitality, before cooling off — 13th-16th at BLAST Open Spring, 5th-6th at IEM Rio, a 1-3 group-stage exit at the Cologne Major. The BLAST Bounty title suggests PR's arrival helped turn that around, though their EWC run has still been a grind: a 13-8 win over Lynn Vision, a loss to FUT that sent them into the lower bracket, and a 2-0 win over PARIVISION to book their spot in the playoffs.
GamerLegion's lead-up was rockier still — losses to HOTU, 9INE, Acend and B8 in the weeks before the tournament. None of that showed up at EWC itself: a 13-3 opening win over Luminosity made them the first team to confirm its playoff spot in the entire field.
One Match, Two Storylines
For PR, this is about walking back into a match against the team that gave him his first real run at the top level. For both rosters, it's a chance to show which form carries into the playoffs — MOUZ's freshly rediscovered trophy-winning form, or GamerLegion's well-timed peak at exactly the right event.
