AUG | Random Access released September 1, 2018 as part of the 2018 Nuke Collection.

It originally released during the CS:GO era, before Valve's Counter-Strike 2 relaunch in September 2023 — its artwork, wear range, and source carried over unchanged into CS2.

It launched as a Restricted-tier finish, with a Souvenir edition but no StatTrak™ version.

As a finish, "Random Access" is applied to the AUG — a scoped, semi-automatic rifle available to Counter-Terrorists, effective at range without needing a dedicated sniper rifle — and carries the purple rarity color every Restricted-tier skin shares on the Steam Market and in-game.
