Hand Wraps | Desert Shamagh

Hand Wraps | Desert Shamagh released July 1, 2022 as part of the Recoil Case.

It originally released during the CS:GO era, before Valve's Counter-Strike 2 relaunch in September 2023 — its artwork, wear range, and source carried over unchanged into CS2.

It launched as an Extraordinary-tier finish, with neither a StatTrak™ nor a Souvenir edition.

This exact finish is also obtained through Snakebite Case and Operation Broken Fang Case.

As a finish, "Desert Shamagh" is applied to the Hand Wraps — wrapped cloth bindings rather than a full glove, giving it a distinct bare-knuckle look among CS2's eight glove types — and carries the red rarity color every Extraordinary-tier skin shares on the Steam Market and in-game.

That Extraordinary classification places it in CS2's rarest tier overall — the same bracket every knife and glove finish occupies, one step above even Covert weapon skins.

Hand Wraps | Desert Shamagh ships in all five wear conditions, but its float is capped between 0.06 and 0.80 — narrower than the full 0.00–1.00 range some other skins allow.

As with every CS2 skin, lower float values look cleaner: Factory New copies (roughly below 0.07 float) show the finish at its sharpest, while Field-Tested and Well-Worn pieces make up the most commonly traded middle ground between mint and heavily worn.

Hand Wraps | Desert Shamagh comes from the Recoil Case — the Case is no longer part of the active drop pool, so trading and the Steam Community Market are the ways to acquire it today.

Valve's own published Case odds put an Extraordinary-tier pull like this one at roughly 1 in 9231 (0.0108%).

This finish ships only as a Normal version — no StatTrak™ or Souvenir edition exists for it.

Beyond that, there's no separate "phase" or pattern family tied to this finish in the site's data — it's tracked as a single fixed look across every wear condition it ships in.

Extraordinary-tier pulls like this one are inherently the rarest outcome of opening the Cases that contain them, which alone keeps demand — and market prices — meaningfully higher than the tiers below it.

Without a StatTrak™ or Souvenir edition to chase, collector interest in this finish centers on the Normal version alone.

Hand Wraps | Desert Shamagh has been part of the Recoil Case since July 1, 2022, and like every CS:GO-era CS2 skin, carried over unchanged when Valve relaunched the game on the Source 2 engine in 2023 — the artwork, wear range, and source Case/Collection are the same today as they were before the migration.

This finish is one of 24 distinct Extraordinary finishes in the Recoil Case's rare-special drop pool.

This is one of 12 Hand Wraps skins currently listed on the site, spanning multiple rarity tiers.
