Tec-9 | Re-Entry released April 27, 2016 as part of the Chroma 3 Case.

It originally released during the CS:GO era, before Valve's Counter-Strike 2 relaunch in September 2023 — its artwork, wear range, and source carried over unchanged into CS2.

It launched as a Restricted-tier finish, with both a StatTrak™ and a Souvenir edition.

As a finish, "Re-Entry" is applied to the Tec-9 — the Terrorists' higher-capacity alternative sidearm, favored at close range — and carries the purple rarity color every Restricted-tier skin shares on the Steam Market and in-game.
